The 2013 Louisiana Queer Conference (LAQC) was held on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Louisiana State University. We were joined by over 200 students, community members, and activists from all across the state of Louisiana to network, build leadership skills, and engage in discussion about the state of the LGBTQ movement in Louisiana, in community, workplace, and academic settings. We were also joined by community advocates from organizations such as Women with a Vision, Louisiana Democratic Party, Equality Louisiana, Capital City Alliance, and People Acting for Change and Equality. Our keynote speaker was Alison Gill, the Governmental Affairs director for the Trevor Project.
